Hong (Hongshik) Kim is a Registered Acupuncturist and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Practitioner. In order to further enhance his TCM level, he has been continuing his studies in various acupuncture techniques, such as Master Tung, the Balanced Method of Dr. Tan, and other numerous Korean Acupuncture techniques. In addition, he also practices acupressure, electro acupuncture, cupping and cosmetic acupuncture as part of his TCM practice and has been certified for the Acupoint Injection Therapy. Furthermore he is a certified instructor of Healing Tao’s abdominal organ Qi massage (Chi Nei Tsang), which is a Thai technique that helps to decrease organ disharmony, belly fat, constipation, and stimulate healthy digestion.
He was also voted in the A-List for favourite acupuncturist in Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows News in the year 2021, and at 3 Best Acupuncture in Maple Ridge by Three Best Rated.
He achieved a Master’s degree of Business Administration in Finance from Korea University in South Korea and worked for a public company for years. However, when his son started to suffer in severe pain from Iliotibial Band Syndrome, he was motivated to find methods to help his son. That’s why he learned and completed an acupressure course at the Seobong Meridian Acupressure Association in South Korea and graduated from PCU College of Holistic Medicine in BC after immigrating to Canada.
To this day, he is passionate about utilizing his knowledge to help those in need. He truly believes in the power of TCM and its ability to help people in ways that modern medicine cannot.
